Let us Learn Simple Past Tense
Do you want to tell your past story?
You must use this Pattern!
Subject + Verb (2) + Object/Complement...
Example: * I saw Dony yesterday.
* Bobby climbed the tree.
Do you know the Verb 2?
It is easy!
A. Regular Verb (We only add '-d/-ed' to the last word)
V1 ==> V2
Dance => Danced
Look => Looked
Play => Played
Climb => Climbed
Touch => Touched
and so on (see the other V2 in your dictionary)
B. Irregular Verb
V1 ==> V2
See => Saw
Write => wrote
Speak => spoke
Read => read
break => broke
eat => ate
drink => drank
go => went
and so on (see the other V2 in your dictionary)
We can express a sentence by using Simple Past if the sentence has a time frequency.
There are:
* yesterday
* 2 days ago (... days ago)
* 3 months ago (.... months ago)
* 4 years ago (.... years ago)
* last night
* last morning
* last holiday
and so on
Now, you can use the "Simple Past Tense"
And also you can answer these question!
1. I ..... (eat) the fired rice yesterday.
2. You ..... (go) to the market 2 years ago.
3. Jack ..... (study) English last night.
